Beef Shares

We are very proud to offer the highest quality Hereford beef.

How much does it cost?

All of our shares are priced at $7.50 per pound hanging weight, plus .95 per pound for processing (this is paid directly to the processor). On average a quarter share will be about 125 pounds hanging weight, so a quarter share would be roughly $1,056.25. Keep in mind that the weight can fluctuate, but around $1,000 per quarter is a good average.

How much meat will I get?

The exact amount of meat will vary based on the final weight of the beef. On average, one quarter share will yield between 80 and 100 pounds of meat for you to put in your freezer.

What kind of cuts can I get?

You can use the links at the bottom of the page to get an idea of what kind of cuts you can select. Keep in mind, the smaller the share the fewer the choices you'll have for cuts. Half and whole shares can be fully customized. Quarters are a bit more limited. Eighths have almost no customizability, but we will try to accommodate you as best we can!

How much is the deposit?

Eighth share: $100

Quarter share: $200

Half share: $400

Full share: $800

When will I get my beef?

We will have your beef ready for pickup 3-5 weeks after we drop it off with the processor. We will keep you updated on when your beef has been scheduled for drop off, when it has been dropped off, and when it is ready for pickup.

How much space does the beef take up?

An eighth share will take up 2-3 cubic feet of freezer space. A quarter takes up 4-5, a half takes up 8-10, and a full share will take up 16-20 cubic feet. A standard freezer on a combined fridge/freezer unit is about 3.5-4 cubic feet (according to a Google search!).
